The Transportation Club of Detroit is a non-profit corporation.
Prior to 1984, the Transportation Club of Detroit was known as the Traffic Club of Detroit. In 1984, the Traffic Club of Detroit and the Motor City Traffic Club of Detroit merged to form the TRANSPORTATION CLUB OF DETROIT.
The purpose for which the club was organized is to promote and encourage the highest standards of education and technical competence among the members of the transportation industry. The Corporation is financed through gifts, grants, membership dues or any contributions of funds or property.
The TCD is organized on a membership basis; and is comprised of two (2) classes:
REGULAR MEMBER: A person engaged in any activity involved in transportation...annual dues $70.00.
LIFE MEMBER: Retired from employment in the transportation industry; has been a club member for a minimum of two years; and, who is not otherwise gainfully employed...annual dues $20.00.
