The Transportation Club of Detroit

THE TRANSPORTATION CLUB OF DETROIT IS A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION.

Prior to 1984 it was known as the Traffic Club of Detroit. In 1984, the Traffic Club of Detroit and the Motor City Traffic Club of Detroit merged to form the current Transportation Club of Detroit.

The purpose for which the TCD was organized is to promote and encourage the highest standards of education and technical competence among the members of the transportation industry. The corporation is financed through gifts, grants, membership dues and any contributions of funds or property.

Message from the president

Joelle Schade, President

"I am honored to serve as the 2024 President of this great organization!

This year, one of the Transportation Club of Detroit’s goals is to increase member value by ensuring the Club provides information, resources, and connections that most interest our members.

To accomplish this goal, we are updating our systems and processes. These updates include a new website, payment system, and management team.

Adding member value will help the club accomplish even more of its goals: to increase memberships and to increase event participation. If you were a member last year, please renew your membership. If you have never been a member, please join! We would love to see you at our events!

The TCD would also like to challenge its membership to get involved in helping us improve our processes and offerings by joining a committee or two. We can always use more input and assistance to make the TCD what we all know it can become. Please reach out to me or another Board member to see how you can help!
