Who we are

The Transportation Club of Detroit is a non-profit corporation. Prior to 1984 it was known as the Traffic Club of Detroit.  In 1984, the Traffic Club of Detroit and the Motor City Traffic Club of Detroit merged to form the current Transportation Club of Detroit. The purpose for which the TCD was organized is to promote and encourage the highest standards of education and technical competence among the members of the transportation industry.  The corporation is financed through gifts, grants, membership dues and any contributions of funds or property. The TCD is organized on a membership basis; and is comprised of three (3) classes: Regular Member – A person engaged in any activity involved in transportation. Message from the president

The Transportation Club of Detroit is a benevolent and educational organization with roots in the 1950s. Over the many years scholarships in excess of $370k have been awarded to deserving College students. We thank our current membership for their great success and look forward to the continued growth and future accomplishments of the Transportation Club of Detroit.
